In September 2021, I was matched up to be a prayer partner with Beth! I had already known a little about Beth due to us both being current leaders for Moms in the Making but I was excited to get to know her on a deeper level!

I am currently expecting my second miracle baby and at my 20 week anatomy scan we were told our precious baby would be born with a cleft lip and palate. I was absolutely terrified because I had never experienced anything like this nor did I know anyone else who had. I texted Beth to let her know the diagnosis we received and asked for her prayers! Beth immediately wrapped me in so many prayers and love and then told me that she too had been born with a cleft lip and palate! I about fell to the floor! How perfect is it that when we were first assigned as prayer partners I had no idea what was to come with this pregnancy and then for God to align Beth and I up as prayer partners at that exact moment! I mean COME ON!

I am forever thankful for Beth as a prayer partner and now forever kingdom friend! Beth has been my biggest supporter through this and I honestly don’t know if I would be this calm just weeks away from delivering without her!

If you haven’t participated in prayer partners yet, I suggest next quarter you do. You never know when God will Match you with the one person you need at that exact moment in your life!
My husband and I married in July 2019. We knew we wanted children, so we started “trying” right away. But month after month, we were still not pregnant. The anxiety and disappointment overtook me, and it was hard to focus on anything other than trying to get pregnant. During this time, a friend introduced me to A Cup Full of Hope Podcast, the In Due Time devotional, and Moms in the Making. I dove into all three things to not only distract myself, but to find hope in our situation.

I started attending an in-person Moms in the Making group in March 2020. Our group was small (only three girls), but we became a close-knit circle of God-loving moms-to-be! Through the in-person group and A Cup Full of Hope podcast and In Due Time devotional, my relationship with God was strengthened and I had a sense of peace knowing that God would fulfill the promise of becoming a mother one day.

We tried for a year before the doctors would start blood work and testing. In October 2020, my husband and I both had testing done, followed by results that everything was normal. The doctors referred us to a fertility specialist, but we did not feel in our hearts that we were ready for that. Around that time, we moved into our “forever” home and on New Year’s Eve, I had a positive pregnancy test.

God’s timing is always better than what we have planned for ourselves – He fulfilled his promise of a baby knowing we are settled in our home. We had a baby boy in September 2021. I am forever grateful for Moms in the Making. My relationship with God continues to grow. I pray that all those yearning to be a mom would find grace and hope in God’s promise.

A few weeks ago my husband and I were anointed with oil and prayed over at church, just a little private thing with our preacher, my dad, and my two brothers. God had been dealing with me for a while about doing that and I’m so glad I did! There was overwhelming peace and power in that room that was without a doubt from God! When we finished praying, my preacher talked about how Abraham was promised a child and within a year he held that promise. For the next few days, one phrase was constantly on my mind…”within a year”.

I felt that it was a word from God for me but was also afraid I was grasping at straws so I didn’t say anything to my husband or anyone else. The weeks since then there has been such peace in my heart! Like I haven’t felt this entire journey! Even the holiday get togethers with so many kids running around didn’t bother me, just peace. Fast forward 2 weeks, we stopped by Walmart after church for a few things and I asked my husband if he minded if I walked through the baby aisle for any potential faith purchases. Normally he goes to look at other things but this time he went with me and even picked out a cute onesie set. I mentioned on the way back to church that night that I was happy to see him excited about things for our future child.

He told me that God had given him a phrase after we were prayed over that had given him the answer he had needed for peace. When I asked what phrase, it was the exact same one God had given me!! I truly believe that it was a word from God for both of us! I don’t know yet what is meant by that “within a year”, but I have faith that God is going to do something big in our lives within that year and can’t wait to see Him move!
I have felt frustrated in my current position at work for a little while, but did not feel peace from the Holy Spirit to leave my job and look for a new one. One morning I simply prayed the Lord’s prayer over my life and invited Holy Spirit into my day with me.

By lunch time my boss came to me that a position was opening up and asked if I wanted it. I hadn’t even expressed my frustrations to her or asked for a different position, she just said my name popped in her head as soon as the job became available.

God worked this out in response to my prayer that morning! I will get to remain with my current company and even stay with my department, but I will have a more stable position with my own office and a raise! Thank you Lord for answered prayers!
For the past year since our miracle boys were born and honestly even before that, I have been held captive by fear and unworthiness. Fear that something would happen to our boys and feeling unworthy that we have received two miracles when so many others are still in the fire struggling. I had felt guilty at times for even sharing pictures of them or talking about them because I didn’t want to cause pain or hurt to others still waiting and still fighting.

I went to the 2021 Moms in the Making conference last year with my heart heavy, praying God would free my mind of the thoughts and take the burdens I was carrying. I was reminded through the entire conference that my story still matters, I am worthy of the miracles God has provided and my story is a testimony of God’s faithfulness and goodness. So many amazing women stood beside me and reminded me that my story needs to be told and our miracles are a testimony that if God can do it for me, He WILL and CAN do it for all my sisters in the wait.

The prophetic cards we receive at conference have always been one of my favorite parts. This year, my card read, “The Lord truly does have you, He is holding you tightly, you can really, really trust him. I see you as you trust Him, dancing in a field full of the most stunning beautiful flowers. You are just so free, swirling, moving, singing, just SO FREE!! Hold your head up high Kaitlyn, you are so loved and are doing such a great job.”

I prayed for the chains of my fears and thoughts to be broken and He came through like He always does! I left feeling free and a weight lifted off my chest, ready to continue leading and sharing our journey and story. There is nothing too big for our God. He is the way maker and miracle worker!
In March of 2019, I went off birth control in hopes of starting a family with my husband. We were prepared that anything was possible but we couldn’t have known what our journey held for us.

A few weeks later, we were staring at a positive pregnancy test. Our hopefulness for the situation quickly changed as I had signs of a miscarriage soon after that positive test. Another few weeks in the doctors office confirmed that this was not a viable pregnancy.

A whole year of trying later, on Mothers Day 2020, I found myself staring at another positive test. I excitedly told my husband that we finally had another chance at parenthood. Unfortunately another doctors visit later, we found out that once again this pregnancy was not viable.

After a few cycle to regulate what was going on, my fertility work up showed no major issues and only minor tweaks. We received optimistic news that we could eventually be parents. A few months (October 2020) later, on our wedding anniversary, we were excited that our protocol had worked for us and we got another chance. Once again, we were given bad news.

I reevaluated my life after that. I left my job that I no longer enjoyed and caused me stress. On my last day of work, I was called to read Jeremiah 29:11. I immediately grabbed my Bible and opened the page to EXACTLY that verse. I got chills and knew that something good was coming for us.

A few weeks later I held a positive test in my hands once again. This time it felt different but in the best way. We welcomed our triple rainbow baby in September 2021. She’s absolutely worth waiting for.

I found a home (and friends, thank you Summer and Emily) in Moms in the Making. I lift up and encourage everyone that no matter your journey, God is there with you every step of the way.
In 2019, I went to my first conference really only knowing a few women from my virtual group. At that time, I received a scholarship to help cover my costs to attend. I loved it, and felt a call to lead a local group in Orland Park, Illinois. So I applied and started leading a group the following January.

In 2020, God provided finances for me to sponsor one woman from my group to join me at the conference. She was so blessed by it! In 2021, I felt called to raise money to sponsor my entire group to attend the conference. While not everyone decided to go, God provided the finances for 8 women from our group to attend the conference!!! We were so blessed by the conference. God moved mountains to make this happen – He is so good!

Since the conference, I have seen a change in the women – in their hearts and how they’re trusting God. They have developed such a deeper community and bond with each other. And it’s rubbing off on the women who didn’t go, too!!! Thank you Lord!
My husband & I tried to conceive for many years. We finally got pregnant in 2017 but the pregnancy resulted in an ectopic pregnancy. We lost the baby & I had my right fallopian tube removed. Doctors told me my best possible chance of conceiving would be in vitro which scared us. It was then that the Lord whispered “adoption” in our ears so we went to our first meeting.

Unfortunately we walked out terrified because we had no idea what all was involved. We revisited the endocrinologist & begged to try medicated cycles before attempting IVF. She agreed to try 3 rounds, none were successful.

At this time I was introduced to Moms in the Making and started meeting with the Michigan group. I was matched with an incredible prayer partner. Caroline’s posts and stories restored my faith! We eventually got the courage to try IVF. 9 embryos were created but only 1 was viable. It didn’t stick. Thousands of dollars lost & emotions consumed us. I continued to pray, even when I felt like I couldn’t crawl out of the battlefield.

The Lord continued to lead us towards adoption & we finally obeyed. Hours of paperwork, appointments, training & meetings were logged and we were eventually matched with an expectant couple. We ended up living 18 hours away from home for 2 months in an extended stay hotel. 7 months later the adoption was finalized & we became a forever family. I cannot even begin to express our love for this sweet boy. He is our everything. When our son turned 6.5 months old I found out I was miraculously pregnant. We didn’t even know this was possible. Baby boy #2 was born! Family complete. All of the tears watered my mustard seed which made the most magnificent story bloom.
When I received my prophetic card at the 2021 Moms in the Making conference, I knew it was the exact card Jesus intended for me to have. My prophetic word was all about how God had “new lands” for me. In fact, the word “land” was used 4 times on my prophetic card. The word “territory” was used twice.

What only Jesus knew was that my husband and I had purchased 32 acres of land just 4 months previously. What Jesus also knew was that my husband was experiencing some angst over the magnitude of such a big financial purchase. When I told my husband about my prophetic word, he became emotional and received the word for himself as well.

God is so good! Of the over 200+ women in attendance at the conference, HE knew that I was the one who needed a word about receiving LAND for HIS glory! Thank you Lord!

I had always seen the request to join the Moms in the Making Support Team, and even though I felt like I should sign up, I hesitated. I was just not that person who mailed letters or went to the post office. These thoughts disappeared when I had my own miscarriage and lost my son Jaiden. Everyday, for a few days straight, there was a card in our mailbox from the MITM support team. I was touched and I felt supported, seen, thought of and prayed for.

In addition to these letters, I received a set of 15 Bible verse/promise cards from Moms in the Making; one to be opened each day. Caroline apologized for the delay in their arrival but they arrived on time and at the right moment. Now that I’ve opened all 15, I take them everywhere. I pull them out and read them aloud whenever I need some encouragement and reassurance. Because of the ‘Yes’ of the women on the MITM Support Team, I was encouraged to support women who have lost their babies. I wanted to bring the same comfort that I received to their hurting hurts.

On August 28th, I signed up to be on the MITM support team. At first, it was painful because my grief was still very fresh and present. When I signed up, it was only two days after the one month anniversary of my sweet boy’s passing. After I received the second email requesting the need for support cards, I felt so overwhelmed and I questioned whether I was really ready to be doing this. But I am so thankful that I persevered; even though it hurt and reminded me of my own loss; because it brings me comfort and peace to be there for someone who is going through a similar situation. I encourage all who can, to sign up to be on the MITM Support Team. It is not only a blessing to the receiver but to the giver as well.

My virtual group was also very supportive not just with their prayers, but with two very special gifts. The first was a water color picture of our Comforter holding my sweet son. This picture fills me with so much peace because there is no better place to be than in the arms of Jesus. The second gift is a necklace. It reminds me that my baby boy will always be near. The thing that I love most about these gifts is that each one has Jaiden’s name and date of birth. He did not meet any of my virtual group or MITM support team women but he was known and prayed for and he will be missed and remembered. Thank you Moms in the Making!
